Message	here if you write a letter stating you do not believe the debt is valid, that you have no intent to pay and for them not to contact you again about the matter... they're done. Took this same course of action when a collection agency contacted me about some CD's from Columbia House and BMG music clubs. Wrote the letter and never heard from the agency again. Also used this on a collection agency trying to collect cell phone cancellation fee. Does FedEx or the broker have your Canadian ID # or whatever they use up there to identify you? If not, the collection agency is useless. FedEx turns old debts over to the collection agency in hopes that they will collect some amount. Collection agnecies keep a large portion of what they collect. That is why they harass you so much.
